A better life for people suffering from rare diseases

Mission:

Reduce disparities and ensuring that individuals with rare diseases have access to the same resources as the general population are the goals of SSF, which aims to be the strong, unified voice for all rare diseases in India.

Objectives:

1. To raise public awareness about rare diseases as a human rights priority.

2. Contribute to the establishment and execution of public policies such as the Rare Disease Policy and the Orphan Drug Policy.

3. Collaboration with Indian advocacy organisations and people living with rare illnesses to connect them with national and worldwide forums.

4. Accelerating diagnostic and treatment options for individuals with rare diseases through public-private collaborations.

5. To facilitate and stimulate clinical trials, research, and orphan medication development.
